Fact
We are staying at Kasturba Road No 5, Borivli (East). Near Seeta Mahal CHS Ltd, "Clean up" garbage wagon bins are located. There are three big wagon bins but two bins are in crushed condition and are kept on the side upside down. One wagon was in bad shape long back and is pushed far behind on the unused pavement area. As only one wagon is functional, the garbage is getting dumped on the road. It may be noted that all commercial vendors of main Kasturba road (upto Kasturba Road No 4) are dumping waste in these bins.
Complaint
1. Two wagon bins are supposed to be located. At present, one is functional and two in crushed condition are
kept upside down.
2. The crushed wagons are not replaced for long time.
3. It needs to be inquired from "Clean -up" team, how such heavy metal wagons can get crushed so badly?
Few dents are possible but the way wagons are crushed, it seems the impact could have been created
deliberately. BMC should call for a report on such damaged wagons.
4. BMC should make arrangement of such wagon dust bins at Kasturba Road no 9 also as road is wider and
one side is lined up with commercial shops. If implemented, vendors closer to Kasturba Road no 4 should
be requested to dump there.
BMC is requested to place TWO NEW Wagons immediately. And lift away two damaged wagons.
