Respected Sir.
My grandfather was a Retd. central govt. employee and was drawing his pension uptill his death. He expired on 24.08.2008. We give the information within a month of his death to the bank (SBI Jaswant Nagar Branch UP) from where he was drawing his pension His 40% of arrear of 6th Pay Commission has been sent in his Bank Account in September, but 60% of arrear has not yet been sent. Kindly let us knowt:
1. why the amount of 60% arrear has not been sent. in his account.
2. if his bank account has been declared 'dead', then being the legal heirs how can we claim for the same.
3. How the money already transferred in his account. can be claimed by his legal heirs.
It is worthy to mention that my father being the legal heir is a senior citizen himself. He has contacted number of times to the authorities of the Branch concerned, from where my grandfather was drawing his pension, but no favourable reply has been given. Kindly help being, senior citizen he is facing hardship and inconvenience.
