This complaint is to show how our govt organisations work pathetically for the public. I'm in the process of getting a govt job and they have requested me to provide the genuineness certificates for my documents. Hence i went in person to this tahsildar office@ poonamalee, chennai to get the genuineness certificate upon the income certificate which was recently issued through them. I was told to give the copy to DT by their assistants and i gave the copy of my combined incomecertificate and the letter from the govt dept attached to check and issue the genuineness of the income certificate. I explained about my situation to the DT lady and she told that it will take some time to provide the genuine certificate and asked me to come by next week. she put the date seal and put my document aside. I clearly told them it's very important and urgent to be submitted and it decides my job upon quick submission and its very critical. she never took it in her head and just nodded and said that she can only give it by next week. i left and revisited the office exactly by the day she told to come. To my disappointment, she was on leave that day and when i asked the assistants over there, they were clueless about the file i submitted and told me they cant help unless the DT comes. Ok i left aghast and was told to come the next day.
I gave some more time to them to work upon it and i visited the office the next day. I saw the DT lady and when i enquired about my document, she said that I must ask about it to the tahsildar and he was not in chair. She told me that all documents requiring verification where sent to tahsildar and i need to come two days after to meet the tahsildar. I was very disappointed to say the least as it taking more time to get a genuine certificate. But still had hope and with patience i left the office to comeback later. I made my fourth visit to the office and asked the DT lady about my document. She was not listening at all and was concerned more about the files and never responded while i was keep on speaking about my urgent need of the certificate.
she never bothered and said to me to check with their p.a or assistant. I went to her and when i enquired about the document she was even more careless and said that she never come across a genuine certificate request that i mention. i was so upset and i had no clue where to go. even the tahsildar is hard to catch and seem to be busy all the time. i can understand their work but if they dont address the public and administer what's really happening around inside the office then there is no use of a superior with such post to work their.
I can see a lot of angry and devastated public faces in each of my visit to this office. I can hear lot of comments from the public about the way this assistant and the deputy tahsildar lady works. Public is so upset and have no idea where to get help when the head of the offices themselves are not working properly and timely.
there is no proper system followed and each of the assistants including the deputy tahsildar are not working and giving ear to the public. their service is pathetic and i can see lot of lost files and issues getting severe.
I was told by the assistant to provide me another copy of the letter and the file to be verified for genuineness. I did the same and i imagined if i haven't got another letter then i would not have able to make another copy and it would have delayed my issue further. I still dont have any hope on them and am keeping my fingers crossed on what will be the answer when i ask about it a week later.
this is very poor customer service by these govt personals. If this is the way their service is then it will never improve the government any further. This reflects the state of the government and its pathetic to say the least.
