Sir,
I'm an NRI and employed in a bank at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
The details of passport application of my daughter a student of Engineering at Aligarh are as under:
Applicant Name: SARAH SHAMSI
File Reference No. GZB-Z163652-10
Application Date : 14-01
I received the status from their official website in January that the passport has been granted and shall be dispatched by the end of February.
Now for the last three months the status has been changed to:
"Please furnish stay proof of your present address"
Her police verification report has already been received at the passport office which is an adequate proof of her present address.
I have written several E-mails to the Passport Officer and the Appellate Authority for Passports, APO (PG), MEA, New Delhi but nothing has been done.
I am outside India and we have no proof of her stay of present address in India including the Ration Card.
Is it the Police Verification Report from Police and CID is not an adequate proof of her stay at present address?
Kindly help me as I'm feeling totally helpless at this moment.
