I have opened one R/D account No. 88169 jointly with my wife Sujata Dey for Rs.440/- on 16-10 with Kasba Post Office and was due for payment on 16-10. When we went to get payment on due date, Post Master told that one instalment for the month of January not
recorded in their book and refused to accept requisition slip for issuing cheque for payment. Please note that I have deposited the instalment for the month of January on 27-01
and same was entered in the R/D pass book and I have shown the proof and Pass book to Post Master, but he refused to accept out content. I have submitted one letter to Post Master, Kasba
Post office on 25-10 and thereafter submitted complain letter to The Senior Superintendent
of Post Office, South Kolkata Division at last submitted consumer complain on 21-12.
On 07-01 Post Master told me to submit requisition slip for issuing cheque for Rs.93, 075/-
being the maturity value of R/D Account and a cheque no 541893 dated 25.01 was issue
by Tallygunge Head Post Office thereafter Post Master refused to deliver the cheque on the
ground that the Order has not received from Sr. Superintendent of Post office South Kolkata.
Division.
I have lodged consumer complain on 21-12 which was acknowledged by return Email
on the same day. As per consumer complain rule matter will be solved within 30 days but regret
to inform you two month have passed from the date of consumer complain I could not get my
heard earned savings since last 10 years. There were no fault on my part in depositing the
instalment. All the instalment I have depositing in right time without failure. Then why should I
suffer with anxiety in my retired life. There will not be any faith on Post Office for keeping money
I therefore once again requesting you please solve my complain immediately since I am suffering
more than four month from the due date to get my savings. I need money urgently as my daughter's marriage has been settled.
Thanking you and awaiting your favourable reply.
