I had applied for a change in my PAN card, due to change of name post marriage. As per NSDL, my PAN had been despatched on 7.6.11 from MUmbai vide Overnite Express- POD 6606830532. As per the overnite website, the status is 'in transit' still. I am yet to receive the consignment. I called up the customer service desk, and the reply they gave me was shocking. They said " there is only one delivery boy available for delivery to Behala area. Hence the delivery is done once in three days". I am shocked to get such a reply. Is this the customer's fault?? I wonder whether it actually takes a week for courier to deliver a consignment?? Its not that i stay at a remote location, I stay at Behala Chowrasta (Kolkata), which is a fairly prime location. I am scared as to whether they have lost my PAN card. I am unable to complete my KYC requirements in my bank records post marriage due to this delay.
