The above Park (Ward no 66, Park no. 87) is behind NDPL office, next to LB College. It is surrounded by houses and has a few items installed for young Children to play. It is however not being maintained at all for a long time, except only on special requests made for any family get together or other such functions. It is not possible for young children or any resident for that matter, to use this park like a park due to lack of regular maikntenance. The park has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. This is a request to ensure that this Park is taken care of by the concerned authorities.
Resident welfare association is unable to help due to financial constraints.
A few suggestions are :
- Get a Walking track made across the length and breadth of the park,
- Remove the tall concrete walls at the entrance and make the line of sight clear, so that the Park is not used by passers by for unhygenic purposes (currently being used as urinal/etc.),
- Get the shrubs, grass and trees trimmed on a regular basis, get a few plants planted and a gardener assigned to visit at least once a week,
- Get a signage board planted to request residents not to throw garbage/ building material (malba) in the park with a warning for penal action for non compliance,
- Park needs better lighting for safety purposes
- Make arrangements for sweepers to dispose off the garbage effectively
