Passport delay

Espected sir,

i am a student of engineering in Guru Nanak Dev University, amritsar.

i applied for new passport on 30/05/10 and due to negligience of the staff of passport office they send my files on 17/06/10 after merely 3-4 i was called for verification of documents. verification was done and the police officials send my files back to RPO, sangrur.

from that very day to 29/08/10 my files were lying in passport office sangrur only mean for approximately 2 months...! and on 30th auf despite of my repeated reminders they send my files to passport office Chandigarh and still they (sangrur officials) are saying it is supposed to take nearly one month more.

sir, already 3 months have been passed and still they telling me to have patience for one more month.

i have to apply for my higher study abroad and due to that much delay in password can cause a 1 year gap in my studies...!!

please... help me sir...!!
