Delay in despatching the passport - W255052

Dear Sir,

I have applied for passport on 05-10-10 and my file number is HYD-W255052-10, Hyderabad.

I have not yet received passport and the passport status page in the website is showing "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time."

Police verification done, till today not received my passport copy.

Here in this forum, lots of other people are also facing the same problem it seems, and have lodged their complaints respectively, so here is the request from all of them please let us the what's the exact problem in the process and how much time it will take to reach the passport copies to us...
