Since 1988 the tenants of Shantinivas, Plot 198 A, Saraswath Colony are using toilets without septic tank becoz the landlady demolished them to construct an illegal building in the premises. Since then the tenants have approached the courts including Mumbai High Court who have permitted tenants toreconstruct the same. However the Dombivli Municipal Corpn. authorities are silent and inactive. Instead the corporation officials are threatening tenants every now and then at the instance of persons with vested interest, of demolishing the toilets on health hazard grounds. As a result tenants continue to be under constant fear of WCs being demolished.
The tenants have always given an underaking to the corporation to bear the cost involved in order to restore hygiene and paid advance money to the corporation authorised contractor for commencing work.
We are afraid that the concerned municipal officers of F Ward are acting at behest of some vested interests who we are afraid are using money power to flout law and order. We are ready to furnish all documents on request.
We the tenants of Shantinivas once again appeal to concerned authorities for justice.
