On May 8th, I visited Big Bazaar at Phoenix Mills, Parel, Mumbai for shopping alongwith my family. We shopped for more than Rs 15, 000 from your store and at the billing counter we got a big shock. Earlier my father in law had given me gift vouchers valuing Rs 10, 000 (Rs 500 x 20). They were issued on November 11 from the Malad Big Bazaar. It clearly states that they are valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Hence they would legally expire on May 10. However to our shock and dismay 2 of the vouchers showed that they had already expired. I escalated the issue and a senior customer service manager, Mr Allwyn, told me that these are expired and i will have to pay cash. He was not at all helpful in the matter when I repeatedly told him the date of issue shows November 11 to which he also agreed but said that the system showed that they were expired. I made the payment by credit card of the additional Rs 1, 000.
Can you please help me out with this problem as technically they should not have expired and I have lost Rs 1, 000 because of your system issues.
Further i have complained at the share with us email id and have been following up for teh last 3 weeks but have been receiving no response
