Misleading information and change of plan

I am Vinay S Shekhar. I have an Airtel prepaid connection. I recently decided to port out of Airtel since the call rates were high. I applied for number portability and got a new Docomo sim on 31 January. But during the 7-day port out time, I got a call (on 2 February afternoon) from Airtel customer care asking me not to port out and that they’ll change my tariff plan. They offered me new tariff plan which included 100 free SMS everyday. I specifically asked if there’s going to be any daily rental and the lady said no. 2 days later I got the new plan but no free SMS. I called up the customer care no. and they said that it’ll soon be activated. I waited but it didn’t get activated. I called everyday and everyday they gave me a new deadline till today. When I called today, suddenly they say that my plan doesn’t have any free SMS and that 15 days from the day of activation, a rental of Rs 1 will be cut everyday! I insisted that I have been offered the plan and it needs to be activated and the senior executive replied that its a wrong information that has been given to me and they are going to investigate. What use is it for me if they investigate? I am at loss now! Its shameful that a company like Airtel can resort to such cheap tactics.
