Not disconnecting my Landline

I wanted my landline disconnected so I paid the bill, cleared the remaining amount as they asked me to do. But still they didn't disconnected my landline and started calling me periodically in 2-3 days asking for the reason of disconnection, upon giving the reason also they again called asking for reason and offering me some discount for continuing the service. This happened again and again and at the end of the month I received a new bill for that month. Now I have to first clear the bill again then ask them to disconnect my landline. I want to take an action which will waive my bill amount and give me relief from their service.
