Non activation of services

I am a reputed advocate with experience of nearly 30 years having well established office at Bangalore. during my recent trip to kenya in my summer vacations i had availed the services of matrix for staying in touch with my family, friends, relatives and clients.the executive of matrix collected my passport, visa details, traveling programme and air ticket along with a cheque for a sum of Rs. 5000/- towards security deposit. The executive then issued a ‘Sim’ card No.8923418450000003541 saying that the card would be activated. but when i reached kenya i was shocked to notice that the sim card so given was not activated. i kept on trying to contact my family, friends, relatives and professional contacts and clients, but the ‘Sim’ card did not work, for as the same was either not activated or it had fundamental defect. i was forced to buy a ‘Sim’ card and currency from ‘Zain’ network from Kenya. after reaching bangalore i tried contacting the executives of matrix but even after my repeated inquiries they failed to return my deposit. i then filed a complaint before the consumer court which is pending consideration.
