I have been using the Airtel postpaid for over 3 years. Since I was traveling abroad I had requested for Deactivation and hold of my mobile connection to Saidapet Airtel Office in Chennai in Jan 07. They had replied stating that since I am a premium & loyal customer they don't have any issue in holding the number, which can be activated when I am coming back. Around end of July I came back and requested them for activation of my mobile number for which they said they can't and the number has been now moved to prepaid connection. When I said about the history they denied completely. We tried our level best nothing has materialized after that we went for new CUG connection with Airtel. I got my new SIM on 9th August and i have been told it will be activated by 11th August. Till today (i.e. 18th August) the number is not yet activated and the funny part is initially they had given me one number but now they are saying different, when I question them no one is giving me any proper response. I am really shocked to see the customer service of India's number one Mobile Company.
