I have been charged Rs 1 each every alternate day for services I have not asked for nor ever used. This has been happening for the past several months.- the services are 1) Job alerts and 2) Bikinirichalert. The message comes from 54321 saying that I have been extended free subscription for three days for which I have been charged Rs 1.
With great difficulty I manged to stop Job alerts. But the other one continues with precision-every alternate day Rs 1 debited.
The following questions arise:
1. How can Airtel impose on a service and yet charge for it?
2. Why does it not stop even when complaints made to it by calling 999 direct number?
3. With a customer base of 115 million, Airtel must be making a few billion rupees p.a, through this unethical business practice. Is there a way of stopping Airtel doing it?
4. How to get refund for the past wrongful debits for this uncalled for service and the nuisence messages. Tel No: 919004326079 ; [email protected]
