On 6th January I tried to book flight tickets for my family (Bangalore to Hyderabad and back) through Make My Trip on ngPay application on my mobile phone (#9980080551). However, after the flights were selected and the details of the passengers entered, during the payment phase the transaction was terminated without any warning. (Neither did I get any PNR No). However, I received an alert from my bankers that an amount of Rs16914.00 was debited from my credit card towards payment to Make My Trip.
My failed transaction details are:

I tried to contact ngPay immediately, but was told by the customer care staff that they have no role to play in the transaction (please note this point - is it not strange, when the transaction was undertaken through their portal?) and that I should approach Mae My Trip for refund of the amount if the transaction had failed. I could somehow escalate the issue in the next couple of days and senior functionaries from ngPay got in touch with me thereafter and assured me that they would do the needful to get me the refund from Make My Trip. For the next one week various people from ngPay contacted me to enquire whether the refund had been effected, and each one of them assured me that they have already got a confirmation from Make My Trip that the refund process had been initiated!
However, even as I write this on 23rd Jan my ban account shows that the amount is still outstanding against my credit card!
When I tried contacting Make My Trip customer support team (it was indeed a challenge to get through to them following the ridiculous menu options!), they took my email address and mobile no and came back with an excuse that they could not trace any transactions from those details!
GUYS, PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME A SIMILAR INCIDENT HAD HAPPENED WITH ME AT MAKE MY TRIP ON NGPAY AND THE FOURTH TIME IT HAD HAPPENED TO ME WITH NGPAY TRANSACTIONS! I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO BE VERY CAREFUL IN USING THIS PORTAL AS THEIR TECHNOLOGY SEEMS TO BE ABSOLUTELY FLAWED! IN FACT I WOULD ADVISE THAT YOU AVOID TRANSACTING HUGE AMOUNTS THROUGH MAKE MY TRIP NGPAY COMBINATION!
I have lost all hope of getting the refund with the kind of attitude shown by these vendors!
