Overbilling of GPRS service - Postpaid use

Hi,

I have been using the Airtel postpaid mobile connection (9845697886) since about more than 8 years.

On 4th Dec Airtel have activated the GPRS service of 200MB package on my mobile without my knowledge/confirmation.

As per the package, after one month of 200MB free, they have started charging the data from 4th Jan (10 paise per 10kb)

Once I got the bill on 21st Jan I shocked by seeing the bill of about Rs.1900 . Here they have charged me about Rs. 1300 for 127MB of data.

Then I raised the complaint (no. 41758241) to airtel regarding the reversal of the amount, which they have not agreed fully.

Point here is - Airtel has activated the GPRS service of 200MB package without my confirmation and they started charging for the data left and right. This is really cheating the customer. If they would have contacted me while activating then i would have opted for Rs. 98 package which gives 1GB of data free.(here i have just used 200MB 127 MB = 327MB and they have charged so much..not at all acceptable..it really hurted the loyal customer of 8 yrs)

I have contacted all the level of customer care representatives- 3 levels - floral, nodel & appellate. The output is they feel that it is correct but they can provide me only 350/- waiver. This is not acceptable. This is injustice. Why i should pay where it has been charged incorrectly.

This is really cheating the customers!!! Be customer centric to be success in the market...
