Notice of nonpayment of bill

Hi,

I have got transfered out from bangalore in July and before that raised the request for cancellation of my airtel landline/broadband connection, also i was told that there are no dues on this connection and the equipment will be taken back on the same day while i am leaving, so i deputed one of my friends who in my absence would have surrendered the equipments, this persons contact number was registered with the cancellation request.

Now after few months the owner of my old residence have recieved the notice for non payment of bills and also a legal notice telling that Rs. 2409 is due on the connection.

This has been a totally irresponsible behavior by airtel customer care, how can they harass a law abiding citizen by slapping notices. I have totally lost faith in them. How can they be so unrudy to a loyal customer of 7 years...(ironically i am still holding 3 airtel numbers.)

Still i am writing email to their inbox: [email protected] nobody seems to bother.

Hopefully anybody reading this will oblige and atleast reply.
