Billing Manipulation for Internet Services

Billing Manipulation and then no response from Airtel on numerous followup and complaints - on phone and email. Please see the background in the attached mails below:

Dear Nodal Officer

Can you please go through the history of this case and help resolve the problem? I have made regular payments for the actual and legitimate telephony services so far until July - unfortunately, Airtel has barred the outgoing services forcing me to switch off this number.

I have been makeing regular complaints and escalating to your available contact number/executives on 121 via emails and on phone - all I have got is false promises by your executives in addressing the issue in 2 hrs... 1 day, 1 week etc... and that calls will be returned in the next hour or so... but nothing moves. The numerous complaint numbers are present in this mail trail and more can be found in your system's record.

Looks like Airtel is making the most of it's losses by charging customers inflated bills for bogus services and earning a good name by providing pathetic customer services.

Appreciate if you can resolve the issue sooner... it's hanging for more than 4 months now... thankfully to Airtel's pathetic response.

Shall also appreicate if you can provide me the escalation path in Aitel and TRAI to be followed for getting this issue resolved if it is not within your powers.

1. Very first thing - I have not used this internet service on airtel. It's

the classic case of billing manipulation by airtel.

2. I did not ask you to activate airtel live on my phone and you need to

reverse the charges and confirm.

3. Let me know how can I file a complaint against you for these fraudulent

charges and causing unnecessary stress.

4. I have paid the charges other than the fraudulently levied internet charges

today (Rs 500). And there is no other outstanding amount for the last cycle.

5. I am also appalled at how airtel lies to it's old customers.

I think it's enough of airtel now and time to move on.

Hi!

I contacted the Airtel HelpDesk, 121, twice from my mobile today to know the

status and closure of the complaint.

1. First time some Mr. Jatinder Singh(?) came online and when he was not able

to answer and resolve the queries - he said that he is connecting me to his

supervisor. After putting me on hold for more than 1 minute - he came back

saying he could not find his supervisor and that within 2 hours a call back is

scheduled. On asking why and if he could provide me a reference number for

the

discussion - he abruptly disconnected the phone.

2.Second time - Some Parul picked up the phone after apologising for the

earlier incident she shared the status appearing in complaint status that:

i. Airtel executive has called me up on

19th May and explained the answers and now the call is closed. Surprising! I

was in Hong Kong till 20th May - who called me up and explained and closed the

complaint as well?

ii. I asked her for a reference number for

the current and earlier discussion which she did not provide. Then she also

went through the motions like - I am connecting to the supervisor - and after

making me wait on phone for 4 minutes - the call was disconnected from Airtel.

Since you are not able to resolve the complaint - please confirm the name,

email and number of your competent manager to whom this can be escalated for a

resolution
