Airtel
Deceiving Customers by unwanted messages

My mother, an elderly 10 years old retired teacher has an Airtel prepaid card (9740847718) and uses it very rarely. She was not using for 2 months (June to July). Airtel automatically had deducted good amount of money from the balance. The validity of the card is till Feb. When talked to the customer care. He told me that Airtel sends some messages and if we do not reply with "NO" for the message Airtel perceives that you are interested in taking the offer and start deducting the amount. Unknowingly the amount was deducted and two months later when she wanted to make an STD call there was no balance. This when questioned the customer care person, he bluntly says that I have to speak to his Officer. When I have asked him to connect to the Officer he says he is busy now and asks me to call early morning 06:30 or at night 11:00 to the customer care and request them to connect to their Officer - who is busy even at that time. I think Airtel in india lives by this sort of retired elderly persons hard earned money and makes a good business - which is a curse for economic liberty in India
