Mobile Number Portability not successful

It is very disgusting to say that, the Airtel service is the worst service i have ever experienced. I had initiated a request to mobile number portability. The executive said me that as soon as the other network sim gets deactivated airtel sim will get activated. But its been 10 days and still my Airtel sim is not activated. The number is my official number and its just a pain to be in this situation. Now i have got a new sim and keep telling everybody that this is my new number. I do not have any idea on what is happening with my request. Is this the respect Airtel shows to their customer???
