I sent a request 4 days ago to Airtel to activate the new GPRS data plan which promises unlimited surfing and 2 GB download at Rs. 98 per month. I regret to say that the said service has not been functioning even though Airtel execs tell me it is. I have put my sim in numerous phones... saved their setting... did manual settings... everything to get the GPRS to work but to no avail and all this while Airtel (121) keeps telling me that there is no problem from their end and asked me to go to their relationship centre to get the problem fixed. I went there yesterday and the execs there simply refused to help saying that it is not their job and in between i have received numerous messages from Airtel which sometimes say that my GPRS is activated and sometimes say that it is stopped. It has driven me mad to the point that now I do not even know if it is activated from their end. Also, they stopped transferring my phone calls to their execs (i dont know how they do this). It is really frustrating when these kind of things happen to genuine customers.
I have made up my mind to not let go Airtel easily with all this. I am preparing a good case against Airtel and will file it in the consumer court as soon as I have finished drafting the complaint.
