I am Dharam Veer employed as Manager (Audit) Bank of India. Lucknow.
I lost my Nokia 7610 hand set with my prepaid mobile connection No. 9794991561 of Airtel at Meerut on 23.02.2010 at 9.30 A.M. Immediately on 23.02.2010 itself I lodged a FIR with Police Station Sadar bazar Meerut about the mishappening.
Thereafter I contacted the customer care for blocking the facilities against the said No. and requested them to advise me how to get the duplicate SIM.
On enquiry with the customer care I came to know that the said No. 9794991561 which I was using since May was not issued in my name..
Sir I had purchased the said No. from a retailer at Char Bagh Lucknow against my identification in the form of Driving License and a certificate from my Bank about my employment and posting at Lucknow.
I am surprised to know how why my identification does not match with the available records of the company.
The said No. is recharged against Mcheck facilities linked to my credit cards and the last recharge was done on 23.02.2010 itself for Rs. 333/- to the debit of my credit card. I have already contacted Airtel, Nodal officer and appeallete Airtel who havae turned down my request for issuance of a duplicatae SIM. Sir the said no. is circulated to most of my friends relatives and for my business transactions. I request you to kindly help me in getting the SIM of the same number.
