Mobile number portability

Dear sir/madam,

i am a airtel customer since 2003. now i want to change my mobile number to other networks. i did complained customer care 09-feb at evening. " They told me, you're not eligible customer for mobile number portability. Because, You aren't cross 90 days.so, we can't change mobile number portability to your number".but, i used this number from 2003. So, why i can't my phone number to other networks.
