Overcharging for usage of GPRS

Dear Sir / Madam,

Sub.: ERROR IN THE BILL NO.472307835 DATED 03-05 FOR RS.3047.53 against my mobile No. 9829016903 (Airtel)

I have been using Airtel Mobile Service for the last so many years. I have not opted/requested for GPRS service, but for the first time they have charged me Rs.1600/- towards usage of GPRS services. I have already complained to Airtel regarding the charging for usage of GPRS service, but they are not responding properly and they have asked us to clear the payment of Rs.1600/-.

My only concern is that when I have not requested for the GPRS service, they have their own started the service to my mobile for 3-4 consecutive days and it got automatically disconnected by Airtel. I am not aware of how to use the GPRS service and I am not eager to use the same in future, then where the question arise for requesting the GPRS service from my side. Therefore, I request your forum to look into this matter and sort out the same.
