Dear Sir

I had taken a postpaid airtel number 9937012379 (in my own name) early during the year 02 i.e. at the time of launching of services by airtel in Orissa. I had submitted valid POA and POI at that time. The airtel representatives have also verified my address by coming to my home at the address given by me. Later I migrated from post paid to prepaid fold after using the number for about two/three years and since then I am using it. But while contacting to customer care service in connection with a problem I came to know that the SIM is not in my name rather they have informed me that the SIM is not in the name of anybody either. Is it possible that a SIM can be allotted to a ghost? yes, might be possible if it is Airtel. Airtel is harassing customers by disconnecting their number (lucky number) realloting it to other more valued customers, I have observed several instances while once I have been to Airtel customer relationship centers. Ok that is a separte issue and concerned customers will look into those aspects. What can be done now? I was a Postpaid customer all my records are still with them (and me also) but still they are saying that the SIM is not in my name. Sholud i take the matter to Consumer Court, please suggest?
