Poor service!

My no. had been deactivated by Airtel as they wanted the bill to be cleared. I had immediately cleared my bills in the nearest Airtel office. I was told then that outgoing on my phone will be activated within 2 - 4 hours.

It has been close to 20 hours now and the outgoing has not been activated. When I called the customer care of Airtel, the agent again repeated that the outgoing will be activated within 2 - 4 hours. I also agree with one of the previous consumers who have logged in a complain at this website. The customer care service of Airtel is a pain in the ***. First of all, it takes god knows what to be able to speak to an operator. The airtel offers don't seem to have an end. Also their is no option of being able to go back to the previous menu.

I also asked the customer care agent with whom I was able to speak to, to provide me with a no. where I can log in an official complain. I was given a no. which led to a fax machine.

Unfortunately for me, I cannot change my no. as it is a corporate connection and all the employees of my organization use airtel. I am not aware of the quality of customer care of hutch or idea but would definitely recommend people to switch over to those services rather than using airtel.
