Airtel is not allowing to port away from airtel

I want to port from airtel to vodafone, but after me getting the unique porting number and submitting all the documents to Vodafone store, now i get message from airtel saying under "contractual obligation" to stay with airtel.

I wonder how can some force a contract on me to stay with airtel?

The worst part after 5 times me calling to Airtel, none of the customer care executive knows the solution, its like they are forcing me to stay with Airtel. They say please wait for sometime and they never tell how long this 'Sometime' means!

None of the managers with whom i spoke (I spoke with 2 managers) are able to provide me an satisfying answer at all.

I am never satisfied with Airtel (Money looting company it is), why they have to hold me back and why are they not allowing me to port out of Airtel!!!

I am seriously frustrated to the Core with Airtel, i will make sure none of my family members are with airtel and none of my surrounding friends are with Airtel anymore.

The way they are behaving is Insane and utter bullshit!!

If the citizen of this country is not given the freedom to choose the service provider I don't know who has to be blamed here.

I seriously feel like sue Airtel.
