Disconnection of Mobile No

I am an Airtel subscriber and my allotted no. is 9810813841. At 12:24pm on 25.11.11 I have received a SMS "Your request id for changing SIM No from 8991101001174645836F to 8991101101208784443F is 59712302". You will receive a confirmation SMS once it is completed". Since then, there is no signal on my mobile. This massage came to me as a surprise as I have not put in any such request and more over when I called the customer care they also failed to respond my question Who called them and given the request for change of SIM. As per the information I received from somebody contacted them at their Daryaganj outlet and submitted the request along with documents of my credential on 24.11.11. Whereas, I do not have any knowledge as such and more over, I was not even in Delhi on that day, that day I was in Mumbai and came back to Delhi in the night of 24.11.11.

After having a discussion and going through the records I was told that I will be getting a phone call from some of the senior person in next 4 hrs and the problem will be resolved. Finally I got a call from the representative of Airtel in the evening of 24.11.11 and according to their statement I my self visited their outlet and provided them my DL as credential for the request to change the SIM. This statement was even more surprising to me.

In view of above I need know:

1. Who has requested Airtel to change SIM?

2. If a call received by the Airtel why his credential were not checked?

3. And in spite of my call to the customer care why no action is taken till now.

I am a consultant and my entire job is depending on this phone and in absence of this I am not in a position to perform my job. Who is going to pay for losses in terms mental harassment, time lose and financial lose I have incurred during this period because of this un desired episode.

Further to this I got a call from the Airtel customer care department and they told me to provide them my fresh documents so that they can issue me a fresh SIM. I have turn down their request and requested them provide me the scanned copy of the document submitted by the "anonymous" person in order to make me under stand, if some body is using my name and address.

I have also send a complaint to the Nodal officer of Airtel and marked a copy of the same to DG Delhi Police and Delhi Police for their information as I feel my no. can be misused for the anti social activities as these days we hear a lot on these lines and I felt, this my moral responsibility of keep the police informed about this incident.

Through this complaint I request your intervention in this complaint and help me out to get it resolved suitably.
