I had subscribed to airtel mobile number 9663318206 under the name of
sudhindra krishnaswami kumar for the past 1 year. However it has not been used much and my wife was away and did not use it for few months. For the past 1 month or the sim registration has failed and my complaints to airtel local offcie here in Bangalore went in vain.
Two weeks ago they told me that the number is cancelled and the number has gone to recycling and and I need to get a new number.
There was also unused credit for Rs. 150 or more and they told me it
is gone to airtel funds..
My question is:
Why did airtel not inform the customer they were disconnecting?
Why is the funds not credited back to the customer since all the
address verification is already done by Airtel.
This I believe is an unfair practice and I my attempts to contact the Ombudsman at airtel did not materialize as the e mail ID airtel has listed does not exist
I want to get back back my original number - 9663318206 and the credit that exists in the account.
If I fail to get justice I plan to go to consumer court and also
register my complaint against Airtel with TRAI.
