I had lost my mobile on July 7 and updated the loss of mobile to airtel 121 requesting to bar all calls. second day I had received a call from airtel asking if I need a replacement of the sim, for which I had replied that I will think over. next day to this call I received a call from airtel regarding replacement of sim, at that point I had clearly stated, that I am not interested to continue with this number, kindly cancel the number.
after couple of day, I again received a call stating me to take the sim, I replied to cancel the same. in aug I received a mail for the full month, so I had called up 121 and informed y I have been charged, they stated sim is not canceled! I requested them to do so.. this repeated in September and oct with late fees (amount of Rs1138)! and received a call from airtel collection team for payment. we discussed the issue and it was finalized that I need to pay only Rs542, and case is closed. in couple of day I received a letter stating to pay Rs1138 else legal action will be taken!
so I called up there appellate office to log a complain regarding the lack of service on cancelling the sim and sending a notice to pay the full amount instead of the rs542 which was discussed with the collection team. I was informed that they will study the revert back in couple of day. this call was done on Thursday, and they had promised to return a call by Monday. I did not receive any call on Monday nor Tuesday. today when I called, they state they attempted to call to the number which is canceled!
Finally they state that I need to pay the full amount, there has been lack of service from airtel, due to their mistakes I need to pay the full amount! Is there any place I can complain for the lack of service?
