I dropped cheque for payment of bill for month Dec 09 in drop box situated at Airtel, Geeta Bhawan Office, Indore but it was misplaced by airtel team. I am paying the bill for last one year by this mode. Never encountered such problem. Only difference for this time was the drop box location. earleirs cheques were dropped at SBI main branch drop box. After repaeted follow up from 11 Jan 10 nothing happened, I then made stop payment of the check and made payment by net banking on 15 Jan 10. After 3-4 days I got a mail from Airtel Bhopal office that they have found the check what to do. I told them the status and asked them to destroy the cheque at their end. I thought matter is closed. But In jan month bill I am charged a late fee of Rs 75/- for no falult of mine. Beside this I already bore stop payment expense for no fault of mine. I lodged this complaint to Airtel and asked to resolve this problem within two days on 27 jan 10 but no thing constructive have happened. 2 days are over. I am getting calls for customer satisfaction survey, which is of no use because after taking so much of followups my problem is not solved. Is this the way to treat a sincere customer? I need settlement for this.
