My tour initially was from 23/6 to 30/6 . As their tour originated from Delhi, and I am a resident of Lucknow I had booked my tickets accordingly from Lucknow to Delhi and back. 2-3 days prior to the departure for Kuala Lumpur I was informed that they had extended our tour by 1 day at Genting Highlands without giving any reason for the same. As a result I had to cancel all our tickets for delhi –Lucknow thus suffering loss of cancellation and purchasing new tickets at a higher price.
When I reached their office at Delhi I was told that they were unable to book the extra day at Genting Highlands, instead they have booked us at Kuala Lumpur for the extra day.
Their itinerary mentioned first day at Kuala Lumpur, we were taken to Genting Highlands after travelling continuously from Delhi to Kuala Lumpur via Colombo. The rooms were not available before 3pm at Genting Highlands. They had appointed a local travel agent for Malaysia

During our entire stay Mr. Manvider Singh had kept his phone on voice mail and was not reachable He had hired a guide who had no authority to take any decision or solve any of the passengers problem Since Mr Manvinder was not reachable nor had he sent anyone from his office, none of the problems were solved.
At Kuala Lumpur our group was suddenly divided into two groups – half going to Singapore on 27th and rest on 28 th. I was informed that we were leaving on the 27th. Hence we were made to check out in the morning and spend the day on our own as the train was at 11pm. When we returned to the hotel to pick our luggage we were told that we would be leaving for Singapore the next day. As a result we had to recheck into the hotel.

At least we were better off than another family of Mr. Manish Agarwal of Delhi who with his family which included an infant and child was taken to the railway station, only to be told that they would be leaving the next day. He was left at the railway station and told to make his own arrangements for stay. It is only when the local police intervened that they arranged for his accomdation. The brochure clearly mentioned daily breakfast and dinner But on 28 th no dinner was arranged and we were left to fend for ourselves. I rang up their office in Delhi 4-5 times on ISD rates only to be told by the lady that she would call back which never happened. I would have purchased one dinner with the money I wasted on the ISD calls. Mr. Manvinder also never responded to any calls.
We travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore by overnight train. The children were booked in a separate coach having chair cars and the parents were booked in a coach with berths. I fail to understand the logic behind this booking.
In Singapore we were received at the railway station and dropped at the hotel. There was no local representative present during the entire stay. At the hotel the bookings were in the name of local travel agency mentioned below and not in the name of individual persons. Since there was no local representative we could not check in. The local representative whom we never saw or heard from was

However we finally managed to check in with the booking reference numbers. Since the group was divided in two, the first group which had arrived a day earlier was given a guide. Since our city tour was next day we were not given any guide though the brochure clearly mentioned the services of an English speaking guide. It was only after repeated calls to Sterling Travels that they arranged for transport for city tour without any guide
Since I have returned to India I have contacted their office in Gwalior by phone and e-mail, since Ms. Rachana had done my bookings from there. I am repeatedly told that she is on leave and the ladies there giggle among themselves. It gives you the impression that they are making a fool of you When I ask to talk to any senior officer I am repeatedly told that there is no senior available in the office, . Niether do they call back. Till I had not done the booking I used to get calls daily many times during the day.
Through your channel I wish to make people aware of how these travel companies take you for a ride. Since you are in a foreign country there is not much you can do either. Once you return back they attend to you by giggling among themselves and never call you back
