Non provision of non- veg food, refusal to provide the Complaint Book

We were a group of 22 people travelling in Amritsar Shatabdi. On 28.9.11, we travelled to Jalandhar by Amritsar Shatabdi (train no.- 12013) in C-10 on seat no.s 50- 65, 70- 75. Except for 1 or 2 people, we were not given non- veg food for dinner. When asked why, the persons serving us the food told bluntly that there is short supply.

On 29.9.11, on return journey to New Delhi by Amritsar Shatabdi (train no.- 12032) in C- 12 on seat no.s 38, 41- 56, 61- 65, we were again served veg food except for 1 or 2 people. When enquired about the reason, we were again told that it is due to short supply. We all ate the food provided to us. Then I asked for the Complaint Book. Immediately they brought me a non- veg dish out of nowhere. I told I already had dinner provided to me an hour before and I needed the Complaint Book. After arguing with me for a long time, they gave me a feedback form. I asked for the Complaint Book again and again a several times. But they refused to give me and I was not given the Complaint Book at all.

Kindly enquire about the matter as to where all the food is going and do the needful action as the passengers are paying the charges and its their right to receive quality services and we cannot be denied the right to complaint against deficient services.
