This is with great disappointment that I had after which I am bound to write to this forum seeking some help from the authorities.
Summary: I am getting married this Jan'12 and had contacted IndiaTravelHolidays for getting a honeymoon package booked for Feb. I had approached these people in Nov'11.
They gave me a package around some 80K INR and mentioned this with flights and on specifically mentioning that I was interested in a package for Feb. They customized the same and offered a package smartly categorizing it as Price Inclusions and mentioning airfare after this. I asked them to clarify about exclusions, cancellations etc but they mentioned nothing will be an add on to this. I initially transferred Rs 20000 to them and they reverted back and they said resort is booked and asked me to transger the balance Rs 61K to book the flights; I transferred the same and to my uttermost dismay they asked me to give another 40K for tickets.
These agents knew about my honeymoon dates, my budget from the very beginning and they never mentioned exclusion for flight ticket. I never expect a travel agent to only book a resort, They do not respond to mails, phone calls. I was so disappointed with the service and hence I asked them to cancel. Suddenly, they replied asking me cancellation fee of USD 75 per person... I fail to understand suddenly how come these charges now come over when never told before and especially USD came into the picture suddenly ..is that because dollar is at peak right now?? They have not responded to my mail too.
Travel agents are a cheat, fraud to grab over the money of innocent people or should be a service provider who should be corteous and helping peopl within their budgets. They have not returned my money yet and this was the only fund I had to plan my honeymoon.
Because of ITH's trap, I am not left with any money to even think about my honeymoon. Can you please help me get my money back from these people. companies like this which have no policies, which never even used a word exclusion in the mail... why are these given license .. I need my money back, this is all I sought from these consumer forum. SPOCs there are Meera and George who have been really really impolite and discourteous ..This may be a way to cheat on someone;s money but not a dignified way for a service provider and not a respectful mean to earn money. This apparently is not a money earned but a money cheated from me.
