I booked Volvo Bus Tickets from Delhi to Katra (Vaishno Devi) for two of us from JBG Travels, G-7, NDMC Market, New R.K. Ashram Marg, New Delhi. They charged Rs2300/- for 2 tickets. The bus was to go at 6.30 pm from Janpath. At 6.30 they hired an auto and send us to Red Fort to another Travel Agent. He kept us waiting till 9.30 pm whereafter he transferred us in a Jeep (alongwith 11 others) to another bus parked at Majnu ka Tila. The Bus was not Volvo. We were provided seats in an AC Sleeper bus. The bus started after 10 pm and the whole night we travelled sitting. All other 11 passengers from JBG had also paid for Volvo. D
There was no one from JBG at site and therefore we had no option but to accept whatever seat was offered.
I tried reaching JBG on phone but they were evasive. On return, when I went to their office, they were offensive and offered a refund of Rs.105 per passenger. When demanded explanation, the lady sitting at counter said, do whatever you want to. We have contacts with PM's office.
It is a day light robbery in the Capital which JBG (and I am sure many others) are conducting daily. I caution public at large and would like regulatory officials (police and Delhi Administration) to arrest these kind of thugs in the garb of travel agents. Hundreds of passengers are being fleeced daily by these travel agents who are brazenly advertising Volvo Bus Service.
Surprising, Makemytrip, Cleartrip, Redbus and others, who are booking tickets on behalf of JBG and others, are also not bothered.
