I had one normal dish tv connection until a few months back. Then i made the terrible mistake of choosing dishtv for 2 additional add-on accounts, one HD and one normal again. I was told the add-on account will be charged at about 180Rs a month while the parent account will be charged at 360Rs (approx). After a few months I upgraded one of the accounts to HD, it took atleast 6-7 days to get an HD box as i was told the same were not in stock. Finally after some wait i got the new HD box and now i had 2 HD accounts and 1 normal account. The dish tv service guy assured me that the accounts were properly setup and I will be paying full price for the parent account and about half price for the 2 add-on accounts. I paid for all the accounts to last a few months. But just after one or two months i got a message on my mobile and on the tv screen saying the top up was over and i needed to recharge. On enquire and after making several calls i came to know that the account were all being charged at full price and i was not being given any discount for the add-on or child accounts as originally promised.

Anyway, this time the technician told me that the account will be setup properly this time and the correct amount will be charged, and i should pay some more money to get my account working, which I did, and the services were resumed. Not for very long though, after a few days the same happened again. 1 of the HD tv's gave a message to recharge again and within a day the services were barred. at the same time the other HD box stopped working. I called up customer service to send for a technician, who did arrive after 1-2 days and this time reported a problem with one of the HD boxes and said it need to be repaired, so he toook it away with him. This was almost a month ago, he said it will take 2 days to get it fixed and they will return it. we have made close to 10-15 calls to customer care, and have tried to get in touch with the agent who took the HD box, but their office does not answer the phone anymore, initially they did reply and made excuses and once even promised they are sending the device that same day by 4pm, but no one came. the next day when we called we were told the box was still not repaired.

I had made a payment on 27th january, which was collected by local agent's representative, for which i was issued a reciept. I had paid 1500 Rs. This payment has till date not been credited. As per customer care, the last payment received from my end was in december. The local agent's office is unable to trace the payment after repeated requests, we called atleast 10-15 times and even lodged a complaint with the customer care for both the agents (one who took our HD box and the one who took off with the money) we have lodged the complaint regarding both the agents atleast on two separate occasion. nothing has been done about that either. its been more than 3 weeks.

After going through so much I decided to visit the agent's office who took the money and never credited to my account. On asking the reason why they decided to ignore our calls or did not revert back to our calls as promised, all we got was "i'm sorry i forgot to reply back'. from their office i got the number of the local area incharge, or someone senior who could deal with this, from what I understood. He said the issue will be resolved very soon and he will revert back in a few hours, which he did not. So i called him on the mobile phone provided. so he said the technician will be at our home to return the HD box by 4PM. and guess what... bingo, no one came.. So i called him again, no answer, tried a few time, no answer, tried from a different number and I got an answer immediately. (I need more numbers) so this time he acted surprised that the HD box was not installed back. and assured he will get back to me in 2 minutes, (he'll ask someone to contact me in 2 minutes) its been 2 days and i'm still waiting for the 2 minutes to be over.

Now I have one TV working fine, one which has no service, and one without a HD box. Its Cricket world cup season and I have 2 TV's with a satellite signal.

I do not have the contact number of the right person to complain to, therefore I am posting it here.
