Today it is the 28th August & still my problem has not been resolved, on the 19th August, I paid Rs 11990 to Vritinfocom online by HDFC credit card, actually I was to pay only Rs 1199 for an Airtel DTH new connection, however it’s a mystery how Rs 11990 got debited from my HDFC credit card.
The Vritinfocom paying website was given to me by a person supposedly known as Lalith after I contacted the Airtel customer care for a new Connection for my Pondicherry residence.
On the 22-8-11, a person was sent from their Pondicherry agency for installation & was told that I would be given a customer id soon after installation & the connection would start working within 2 hours, however now more than 24 hours have passed after I have put on the set up box & it is still not functioning.
On calling the local Pondicherry number who are responsible for installation I was told that they are helpless as they were given an old voucher number which is already being used.
Since then I have been calling all their customer care & Vrithi mobile numbers but nobody is responding. Infact the moment I mention Vritinficom to the Airtel cc, they immediately disconnent or plead helplessness.
After I repeatedly complained by email, I am getting calls from various numbers saying that they will resolve my problem but nothing has been done now for 10 days.
Now I have 2 issues against them.
1. Excess amount paid has to be refunded.
2. They have to give the connection.
Is it an unholy nexus between Airtel & Vritinficom to cheat the gullible public? please help.
