Airtel hasn't yet installed & activated the DTH connection at my place, 5 days has passed since my booking of a DTH connection (full payment done online). Airtel customer care did call me on Monday morning and gave me my customer ID and informed installation activation will be done within 24hrs.
One of the engineers had called on Monday afternoon asking if he can come over and I asked him to come before 10:30 am on Tuesday 19th July. He agreed but didnt turn up nor took my calls for a very long time that day. Later he informed he cannot come and committed to come on Wednesday 20th July morning 9:30. Again he didn't turn up nor is taking my calls since then. He had called from the number 9900038705.
I called Customer Care on Wednesday @ 12150 number and was shocked to hear their response. They said in another 2 hours I will get a call and it might take another 24 - 48 hrs as backend has not yet assigned a engineer.
If that's the case, then who called me on Monday for connection? A ghost??
I even registered a query on http://www.airtel.in/dth/leads/complaint/lead.html but didn't get any acknowledgement email nor anyone called me.
I have already lost two days of my office (Tuesday & Wednesday) because of this and I am in trouble on that front too.
I don't even have any complaint number from Airtel Customer care as they always just said I will get a call within two hours and probably never registered it as a complant.
Hence yesterday I wrote a detailed email to Nodal officer @ [email protected] and nothing came back from them too as of yet, except for computer generated acknowledgement email.
I had asked for a full refund of my amount within 24 hrs and since there is no response I am posting my case here, as well as I will file the case with local court here if the need be.
I have now booked TataSky and hope the service is better.
