I have been using Airtel DTH service since July cust id # 3001053923. My set top box stopped working on 10.07.2010. I was not able to reach the cutomer care as no one was picking the line up. It was only the IVR one can listen to. On 11.07.2010 I registered a complain for which turn around time was 05:10 pm evening. An engineer was supposed to visit my place as per the tech support. When no one called me till 05:30pm I tried calling customer care. I called twice however as soon as I was identifying myself and giving them the complain # they were either releasing the call or saying that the systems are not working. The next day I registered a complain again, CCE apologized and said I would receive a call in 2 hrs and problem would be resolved the same day. To satisfy me he gave a phn# 0522-4414761 for Mr. Pawan whose team was supposed to work on my complain and align an engineer for visit. When I called this # Mr. Roop after listening the situation asked me to hold and swiftly disconnected the call. After which I was trying to call the # for next 2 hrs however no. was on buzy tone. In addition to a paralyzed tech support Airtel has also managed to train people to offend a customer to an extent which encourages him to either switch to other brand or take a legal action for his rights as their customer.
