Delay in Installing Airtel DTH

Hi

I have my Airtel DTH activated and even I have received SMS confirming the date of installation. However, today some one called me and said they cannot do the installation and would like to reimburse the money. When I asked for a reason, they said they are scared of local cable operators. However, my apartment already has >10 Airtel DTH connection and the owners of these apartments say they had no issue in installing the same. I tried digging more details from the caller and he said that Airtel has outsourced this installation activity to some "enterprises" and they gave me a number of one Jayasree to call. when I called her, she gave me 2 different numbers to call. Each of these guys in turn say that there numbers are wrongly given. At the end of the day, after coughing up money, I am stuck. Also, this "Supposed to be" installation guy says if they dont do installation by Dec 1st, then I need to forget the deposit too. So, he adviced me to just take the money back and forget everything.

Airtel is becoming like a Govt Company every day, and the above state is a clear reflection of poor management and don't care attitude with the customers. I am feeling helpless here.
