I have selected Airtel DTH connection and have paid Rs.2790 through 'Shell Tranource' on 27-Aug, after getting a confirmation Ms. Priti from Airtel, that the installation shall be surely done on Sunday. Accordingly I received an SMS from Airtel with Cust ID 3008676635 and an acknowledgement of receipt of Payment. I also received an SMS confirmation that an Engineer will be at my house at 13:00 hrs on 28-Aug.
Since then I had been calling your number 18605006500 and 020 44448080, but I was frustrated with the kind of replies I got. There were so many confirmations but none were kept. I was at home for 3 continous days waiting for the Airtel engineer. I made several followups but the customer care executives I spoke to had no information about the status, nor could they give me any number to verifiy with. They were also very very ADAMENT.
The Dish was installed on 06-Sep but the box he brought was non-HD. Again a service failure. I was told that the HD box will be installed on 07-Sep. But again as it was Airtel service, no one turned up. Again after so many calls, the guy came on 08-Sep.
I had bought this connection under the scheme of Rs.2790/- which included 2 months of free channels. After activation, I was able to view a few channels, but some normal Channels and all HD Channels were locked. I registered a complaint on 09-Sep and I was promised that all channels shall be visible by evening. Once again Airtel's false promises. Now suddenly all the channels are locked and I get an error code of 6 - zero balance. Whereas I should have 2 months free subscription.
I am seriously feeling cheated, frustrated and angry with this kind of response from AIRTEL. I also asked for my cash back, but some shameless people dont understand the frustration. Till now, 10-Sep evening, I have a non-operations AIRTEL DTH HD stupid good for nothing box.
I urge people to seriously think of any other DTH Service but Airtel.
