Set Top Box Replacements

Hi,

My Airtel DTH Subsciber ID is 3004213587.

My HD set top box has been replaced around twice in the past 8 months. For the first replacement i had to make a payment of 750. Luckily, for the second replacement i did not have to pay anything because it fell in the warranty period which is 3 months. The replacement set top box is not a new one. It is a second/third/fourth hand box (which we are not aware of). The second replacement was done on Feb 25th.

Yesterday (June 5th) the replaced set top box again stopped functioning. Today the technician came home with a second hand set top box and was demanding 750 again. When i contacted customer care they say there was no other option but to pay for the replacement. This i believe is a new way of providing value added services to customers. The customer care said we promise that this will not happen again. I don't know what kind of promise that was.

I did not get my set top box replaced this time. I did ask the technician to leave behind the old box and take away the one he got. I will get the connection changed today.
