My trouble started once I bought the Sony LCD.
First the sales person at Big Bazaar, Cosmos didn’t mention on the additional Rs 1000. Opps!!! Why should they highlight that the product is costing Rs 1000 more? Now when we have to shell out Rs 1000, don't know why is it called free. You don't buy a HD box to put it your showcase. Don’t know who to blame here: Sony or Airtel. But sure, none would like to touch that topic.
Then the sales man promised (do these sales person know the meaning of the word: Promise) that the HD box will be delivered along with the LCD. I didn’t get it and I was not surprised considering the previous experience of Rs 1000. Now the delivery person said that the Sony personal would be delivering the Airtel HD. Now the Sony personal (mob 9141829462) asked me to contact Airtel to get it.
Now stuck with Airtel. I have browsed through the site to get the voucher online, but no use. Tried the toll free no: 12148, same result. They said they will call back within 10 minutes. 10 hours past…still waiting. This is despite the fact that I am a Airtel post paid customer for the last 6 years!!!
BTW the Sony website says: ‘Sony shall not be held responsible for Coupon activation issues or related services, all disputes have to be directly handled with the Digital TV service provider.’ Good Prediction!!!
Requesting all to avoid this offer as it would create big headache running from pole to pole.
