Inappropriate charges

Acct Details as below,

Savings Acct number : 910010028715147

In-Appropriate Charges: Rs. 235.69

Service Tax @10.30% on Charge: Rs.24.28

Date of Charge : 28 May

This is with regards to the charges that have been charged to my acct on 28 May that is for Rs. 260 inclusive of the service tax and everything and my acct number is 910010028715147.

When enquired about these charges the telebanking executive informed that it is for using other bank ATM for withdrawals. And they cannot do any thing about it as it is charged and go to the branch for more info and when I spoke to the manager about it after the below conversation for which he had no answer so he "DISCONNECTED THE CALL".

But they are already aware that most of the AXIS bank ATM's in Chennai is not working.

ATM 1 : (Near my residence)

Let me talk about some specific ATM's The one in Mint St (Lengthiest street in Asia), Sowcarpet, Chennai - Never works any and I can guarantee that even at this very moment your read this it will not work.

ATM 2 : (Near Workplace)

The one in velachery near my work place works for 2 days and sleeps for 3 days.

Question to the tele-banker n the awesome response :

When I said that my Home branch is 18 kilometers away from my place and you want me to go there for every request and complaints and why do you even have call centre's?

Answer :

He simply replied "THAT IS NOT OUR PROBLEM, SIR"

But then I told him "IF YOUR ATM'S ARE NOT WORKING ACROSS THE CITY (which forces us to use other bank ATM's) AND YOU GUYS HAVE NOT INFORMED THE CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE CHARGES THAT WILL BE LEVIED ON USING OTHER BANK ATM'S, BY ANY MEANS IS THAT MY PROBLEM? "

The manager who I spoke to is Rathor Singh (If I've got the name right) and when I called back to talk to him again I spoke to Neha S - Retail Banking Supervisor who promised a callback in one hour from him as he is suddenly missing from the floor.

But no callback received.

The logic is simple Axis bank did not inform me about the other bank ATM usage charges in any way or in their MITC document, which I still have.

and

Their ATM's are not working which simply forces me to use other bank ATM's

So the charges are simply not my responsibility and so I cannot bear them.

I demand them to be reversed with compensation as I have wasted enough time and money for calling and placing the complaints. (which never works, yet I am doing it for the records)

There are other concerns with this bank which is still pending and they are working on them till date for after nearly 3 months of placing the complaints.

1.) Wrong entry of name in Cheque Book

2.) Enabling Third party Fund Transfer (which I already did on opening the acct)

3.) Registering mobile number (Fund transfer does not work even though my mobile number is registered)

4.) Wrong entry of name in Online login

Basically its a waste of time having any relationship with AXIS bank for its lousy service provided and the rude behaviour of the staff.
