HARRASMENT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hi,

Hope you would be able to help me.

I am using credit card of HDFC bank for last 7 years, and always pay the due amount in time.

Now, in January I bought some cloths etc. detail of which is as follows:

On 22/01 - Oberoi Wool EMP Delhi worth 1795/-

On 22/01 - Oberoi Wool Emp Delhi worth 1995/-

on 22/01 - Cotton County Delhi 550/-

on 20/02 - Nayyar Sons Meerut worth 5840/-

Thus, total shopping for statement period 22/02 to 21/03 was Rs. 10180/-

Now, I contacted customer care on 011-41514332, I think first call was on 26th February.

I talked to a CCE as I wanted to go for EMI facility for this total amount of 10180/- in two parts one EMI for Rs 5840/- and second for rest of the amount.

That CCE transferred my call, as per her, to EMI section in that section Ms Charu Chawla was there who forced me first to sell some kind of mediclaim and as per her with out taking that mediclaim I could not go for EMI facility.

But when I told that I want to talk to her manager, she became polite and told me that no need to take mediclaim and she has made two EMIs as I asked.

Next day I called to confirm if EMIs have been created or not, and I came to know that one EMI has been done and other one is in process.

Now, after 2 days I came to know that they have made an EMI of Rs. 12340/- of total outstanding, I could not get them at that time and thought that in statement I will check.

From that day I was calling daily for help that how they calculated that amount and how much I have to pay for this statement on due date.

After a number of calls and WRONG INFORMATION from the CUSTOMER SERVICE, finally on 9th or 10th March I was asked by a CCE to pay only -. I did that.

I checked my statement online, which I do very seldom as I am a salaried person and my shift timings does not allow me to get time for cyber cafe.

Only Sunday was there to check.

I checked my statement and came to know that total should be 10180/- and not 12340/-. Again I called on 011-41514332.

Could not get any answer as CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE told me that now they can not tell me what amounts are there in that EMI.

I, next day, FRUSTRATED, called again and asked to transfer my call to any supervisor. Then Ms Kavita Kumar came on line and told me a new fact that they put only 5840/- to EMI from 10180/- and another amount of Rs 6500/- which I shopped in I think on 21st or 22nd February. But was not showing in any statement.

However, in between, before talking to Ms Kavita Kumar, I already have gone for an EMI which consists this amount of 6500/- and 3360/- total EMI was of 9860/-.

NOW, what they have done that they have included 6500/- in two EMIs

one of 12340/- (for which I tried to asked from CCE who refused to tell me the amounts included in this otherwise no problem would have been created. and I did not include 6500/- in another EMI.)

Now, when I was talking to Ms Kavita Kumar, who already took my contact number and best time to call, I emailed also all these issues to HDFC bank credit cards support. I mentioned that I am also in contact with Ms Kavita Kumar and she has told me that there are some issues with EMIs so she will solve it. I mentioned in the email that I will pay 3000/- only this time due to this fault and do not want to pay extra.

I provided my number also in my three emails to them and the best time to call me, however, no call till now.

Ms Kavita Kumar, the manager, who gave me the TAT of 24 to 48 Hours, is not contactable now on 011-41514332, and I am still waiting for a call which can give me a peace of mind.

Almost a month and half has been passed, but no solution.

MOREOVER now collection calls have been started. I have told them that I always pay in time and due to some faults from their side, I did not pay in full and already informed on call as well as by email. BUT they are not stopping and harassing. They even not able to see the track record of my payments, which are always in time by cheque.

By this lengthy email, I think, you would be able to know the FRUSTRATION of 7 years old customer of this bank, whom they have just issued a Titanium card.

Please help.
