WRONG POLICY SOLD

Sub: request for termination of the policy and refund of the money

I came to HDFC SLIC (Rohini branch) for the summer internship programme for the profile of ‘channel development’. But after few weeks, I was pressurized by Ms. LAKSHMI KAPOOR for selling the policy for the company – so that she can meet her targets - though my profile was to hire financial consultants. Then as per her guidelines I dropped a Rs. 6000 cheque at her and she said that she will fill the insurance form on her own.

After some days I received my policy paper (proposal no. 13679326) and now I want to discontinue with this policy due to several reasons:-

1. The policy terms were not according to my requirements. When I got the papers, I was shocked to see the details that my endowment plan – annual premium Rs. 6000 for ten years (as discussed and finalized with Ms Lakshmi Kapoor )- has been converted to ULIP plan (Monthly premium of Rs 2000 amounting to Rs 24000 annually, payment mode ESC). She had filled all the detail in the form on her own in absence of mine.

2. After this called her several times for the rectification of the papers. After few weeks she took the policy papers from me and assured me that she will put it in the operations and it will be rectified with two weeks. Many weeks passed and till date I have not received my rectified policy papers.

3. I called her several times. Whenever I called, I got such replies - “I am out station”, “ I am not well” and “ I am in meeting”, “ your work is in progress, its in operations” .

4. On 20th august, my bank account was debited with Rs2000 (monthly premium – though ECS). It means no action has been taken yet on my policy papers.

5. When I told her that my bank account has been debited, she again said that she will check this matter and will post an online request for the refund.

I am studying in B school. I am in fix since past two months regarding this matter only. I have many other academics pressures. Several times I had to suffer my studies for this issue. Had I committed a mistake by taking a policy from HDFC SLIC. Your company is big and it cant manage to handle to such a small issue. Either its your mistake or the mistake of the LAKSHMI KAPOOR. It felt like cheated by investing in this company.

I hereby request to please refund my Rs 8000 and nullify my papers so that I should not be compelled to seek the help of the higher authorities. I am a student and this amount matters me a lot.
