I was using credit card of HSBC for last 3 years. It was given to me FREE OF COST for lifetime. Last month they have charged Annual Fees. I have talked to Customer Care & asked to cancel my credit card. They assured me that the Charges will be reversed. Also she has given me reference no. But, she added that I will not get any e-mail or sms for confirmation.
I got a call on 07-04-10 from bank to clear my credit card dues. I have asked the Gentleman to call me next day as I was out of town (on roaming) & was in a meeting. But he didn't look at this and was continued arguing. I told him about the whole matter. Then he start asking series of questions - When you talked to the customer care, what was the matter etc. I asked him to get the data from your bank server. I hope he didn't look at that.
Again, in the morning when I was on bed (07:19 am), I got a call from another executive regarding credit card dues. I asked him is this the correct time to call anyone? He responded that what we are doing on the guidelines of RBI & the timings are 7 to 7. I asked him that whether RBI has also given you permission to Harass a customer. Why don't you look into your data & check what are the charges & what is the status?
I am getting calls from the Collection team daily since then. I talked to the customer care, they assured me that no body will call me again, but, today I got a call again.
The intention of bank is too bad that they want to generate income by charging False Dues on customer & ask for same later. Because if it a genuine bank then they would have taken my concent before charging Annual Fees to me.
Also I have put up a mail to the bank, but they have not taken any action against this problem.
