Not getting the NOC after making full payment...
Complaint against the ICICI Bank...
Dear Sir,
I need to bring to your attention my experience as an ICICI Bank customer.
My name is Lakhan Solanki residing at Gurgaon, HR. I was using an ICICI Credit Card # # 4477 4608 9020 8004 which is about 3-4 years old and due to some problems with the bank I had stopped paying the credit card dues. After about 1 year I got a call from the ICICI Credit Card legal team stating that they would like to do a full and final settlement on my card and if I am ready to pay Rs. 1, 00, 000/- as a settlement payment, all my dues would be clear and I would receive an NOC from ICICI on my credit card and my name would be removed from the default list in CIBIL as well.
I agreed to make the payment to close this bad debt and then I went to ICICI Bank Branch in Gurgaon and got the settlement letter and I gave them Cheque of RS. 25000 for which he gave me a receipt. I was told to pay this amount in 4 shots (25K each) which i did on the time. Last payment got delayed for few days then I got a call from ICICI Bank agent (Vijay Yadav) that if I pay the remainting 25, 000/- by cash, everything will be fine and I will get the NOC.
I paid by cash and got the receipt as well, with this last payment I paid whole amount as per settlement letter but I did not receive the NOC.
After that again I went to ICICI Bank Brach and asked them for NOC but one Manager (Varun Shehgal) told me that I have to pay another Rs. 4800/- and after that total balance will be zero and everything will be fine, I paid that amount and showed him the receipt as well but did not get anything from Bank, neither NOC nor any confirmation about amount. Now again I am getting calls from ICICI legal team for minimum due amount and they are saying that I have to pay another 31000/- to close this case.
If I had any intentions of not making the payments, I would have not visited twice to Bank and request them for NOC while I paid more then what was settled between Bank and me.
I have paid the total amount but still waiting for the NOC and bank has not removed my name from CIBIL as well. I am facing so many problem because of this. I applied for home loan but due this my home loan got rejected.
I do not know why I am not getting the NOC while I paid the total amount and now people has again started calling me and asking for more money.
I would also like to know how I can obtain the NOC from ICICI bank which they have not sent me till now and get my name removed from CIBIL.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL THE EVENTS STATED ABOVE HAPPENED BETWEEN THE TIME PERIOD OF Feb Dec.
